DESTINATION GUIDE
Lagos
Lagos is a historic coastal city in Portugal’s southern Algarve region. Known for beautiful beaches, clear water, and striking rock formations, it is one of the Algarve’s most popular destinations.
Founded in Roman times and later important during the Portuguese Age of Discovery, Lagos has a rich heritage. Its old town retains traditional architecture, narrow streets, historic churches, and monuments that tell the city’s story.
Beaches such as Praia Dona Ana and Praia do Camilo are known worldwide for their cliffs and transparent water. The marina is also a major departure point for boat tours, dolphin watching, and visits to sea caves. Lagos successfully combines history, culture, natural beauty, and modern visitor facilities.
